The Worst "Idol" Performance for 4/15/08

Was this chick nervous about finishing her tax returns after the show? I don't get it. She was out of breath, rushing the song, and missing notes on the piano AND with her voice. A complete and total mess of Mariah's signature song. With that being said, she probably won't go home.

When Geighs Attack

I have never seen this I Love New York bull before in my life. BUT, I saw this clip on Dlisted and just had to discuss. Whoever casted Miss Pretty was clearly playing jokes on New York. This is truly a damn shame.

The Religion Report

Several stories popping off in the religious world...



First up, a Christian group, The Resistance, is asking for Fiddy to be true to his word and retire since he did not outsell Kanye West. Mark Dice, a rep for the group says, "It is time for 50 cent to be a man of his word, and retire. The world will be a better place when this satanic piece of filth retires and stops making music." That's real Christian like. SMH. Anyhoo, the group is encouraging members to leave messages on 50's Myspace asking him to "shun Satan" and live up to his word. I'm no 50 fan, but this was a bit much. For me at least.

Next up, televangelists are under investigation for shady financial practices. According to ajc.com:

"The Rev. Creflo Dollar of World Changers Church in International in College Park said his team of legal experts is reviewing a request for financial records from Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), head of the Senate Finance Committee."

Another Atlantan televangelist, Eddie Long, is also under investigation. They are two among six televangelists throughout the country that are being investigated by the committee.

None of the televangelists are really suspected of any wrong doing, but questions are being asked.

Looks like a few celebs have been dodging their tax bills. Sinbad, Dionne, and OJ (surprise, surprise) all owe millions in back taxes to the state of California. Here's the breakdown of what they owe....

OJ- $1.4 million
Sinbad- $2.1 million
Dionne- $2.6 million

How Long Will This Last?

Page Six is reporting that Kim Porter has left Diddy, again. Soon after Kim gave birth to twins in Decemeber, Diddy was photographed partying into the wee hours of the night with Sienna Miller. Every since those photos surfaced, there has been a rift between the two. Now, Kim is ready to move on after more photos of Diddy and Sienna surfaced this past weekend.

From Page Six's report: "She is focusing on her career as a model and actress and raising her children," our source said. "They are the best of friends, but they just can't be together right now."

Porter is currently in Louisiana filming a movie and plans to move to Los Angeles with her 4 kids (3 belong to Diddy) after filming. She has already purchased a home in Beverly Hills.

I wonder how long this will last. Diddy will draw her right back in with his buck teeth and cash. Believe me.

Tamala Jones who once played supporting roles in semi-credible movies such as Two Can Play That Game and The Brothers is now taking on the lead in the straight-to-DVD drama Confessions of a Call Girl that was released to stores on June 26th.

Movie synopsis:

Tory Adams (Tamala Jones) is the perfect wife, mother, best girlfriend, and boss. She is a successful doctor who runs her own medical practice in NYC. Married to an equally successful lawyer (Bokeem Woodbine), she and her husband live in a $3 million brownstone in Harlem with their 6-year-old daughter. Despite appearances of an idyllic life, there's one problem: Tory is secretly a high-class call girl who goes by the name Candy and is addicted to satisfying the fetishes of rich men. No Roboho

Jasmyne Cannick, a columnist over at eurweb.com is not pleased with TMZ.com's description of Beyoncé's performance outfit and E-V-E's red carpet ensemble at the 2007 BET Awards on Tuesday night.

Here is what TMZ posted on their site:

"…From Beyonce's roboho performance getup to Eve's streetwalker chic, check out why it's time these artists hired new stylists and put the hip back into hip-hop!..."

She compared the description of the two artists to the Don Imus "nappy headed hos" situation.

Cannick says, "Beyonce was an African-American woman which to me makes the description worse because it seems that these days it’s us Black women who are always being called hos.."

Cannick went on to say, "... obviously Beyonce doesn’t need anyone to defend her and that’s really not what I am doing. I am more interested in defending the way that Black women and in fact all women are depicted by the media when it’s negative."

I never thought TMZ cared too much about reporting on Black people and when they do it is usually negative. But, I mean, it's all about how you look at it I guess because most Black blogs only report on Black people. BUT that's because we don't get shine on the "mainstream" blogs. Blah. I don't know. BET Does Not Care About Black People

BET really doesn't care anymore. I'm CONVINCED of it. I had absolutely NOTHING else to do last night and watched their show "BET's Top 25 Fabulous Freaks" hosted by Tocarra and John Salley. It was poorly produced and the list sucked. Kim Kardashian? Hoe and Freak are not the same thing. Just an observation.

Some of the other freaks included Prince, Rick James, Pretty Ricky, and Ray J.

The #1 freak was Karrine "Supahead" Steffans.

*sigh* I long for the days of Video Soul and Midnight Love.

It looks like Diddy is getting close to Claudia Jordan (that chick that opens briefcases on Deal or No Deal). He also claims that "He wants to date her".

Will Kim ever see the light? Her silly ass is sitting at home with Diddy's kids while he canoodles with other chicks.

It's official. Foxy Brown has LOST IT. According to the NY Post, Foxy is denying that she was even robbed this past Saturday at the Pink Houses projects in Brooklyn.

According to the suspect's lawyer, "Foxy Brown is a 'colorful character' who was merely telling cops a 'colorful story' when she claimed a woman mugged her at a Brooklyn housing project."

The women are accused of beating Foxy down for her Louis Vuitton bag, $500 in cash, some credit cards, and her hearing aid. But Foxy is denying that she was even at the projects when the beatdown and robbery went down. However, Roshawn Anthony, a stripper from Brooklyn who is being held on $50,000 bond for the assault. Apparently the mob of women were hired by Foxy's ex-boyfriend who paid them to beat her down for dumping him, after she discovered he is a pimp.

Looks like our favorite Chokehold Cassanova has run into financial trouble.

The Smoking Gun reports that Suge "Shank A Hoe" Knight...I mean...Marion "Suge" Knight has been forced to sell his 8.9 million acre estate for $6.2 million in order to liquidate assets to cover his debt.

Sucks for Suge. I hope I am not placed on his hitlist after posting this blog.
